Heather Harrison Bio
When not designing and crafting jewelry, Heather practices and teaches
yoga, buys and sells estate jewelry at both the retail and internet level,
and travels as widely as she possibly can. Her large and ever-changing personal collection of antique and contemporary jewelry mirrors the wide scope of her creative impulses. She has been an avid collector of antiques
and oddities for over 15 years - acquiring impressive collections of vintage purses, mirrors, boxes, textiles, and more. These collections inspire her
to strive to use only the best antique elements in her work.
Heather uses her considerable experience buying and selling estate
jewelry to find disparate elements that blend perfectly. These pieces are created in collections, some of which are ongoing, and others that are transient. Her aesthetic has always been an eclectic mix of the old and
the new, the luxurious and the common, the organic and the man-made. Heather's creative goal has always been the stunning, modern, and
versatile piece of jewelry that will never be seen on another person.
Many designers currently claim to utilize "vintage" or "antique" pieces,
but Heather's extensive knowledge base and eye for the unusual definitely authenticate her jewelry as a step above others. The pieces are not only
one-of-a-kind, they are deconstructionist. Most of them engineered to be
worn more than one way. Some of the collections are even designed to be interchangeable, and you are encouraged to mix and match. Because the majority of the work features detachable elements, you are really getting several pieces of jewelry in one. This unique versatility is a strong selling
